Brazilian design is often introduced to the world through architecture, fashion or furniture.
Jewelry deserves a place in that conversation too.
This week, BlackCard International turns its attention to Hector Albertazzi, a Brazilian brand whose latest collection transforms travel memories into sculptural pieces and whose current international agenda is taking that language to Milan.
A collection shaped by travel
The starting point is Jet Setters, a collection built around references, experiences and memories gathered through travel.
Its first chapter, Namibe, looks to the Namib Desert in southwestern Africa.
Rather than reproducing the landscape literally, the collection translates its movement.
Curved lines, asymmetry and soft volumes recall dunes continuously reshaped by the wind. Crystals follow the contours of the pieces, creating small points of light and reinforcing a sense of movement.
The collection appears in two finishes that are already part of Hector Albertazzi’s visual vocabulary: Ouro Vintage and Prata Boho. The brand’s current Namibe selection includes earrings, cuffs, chokers, necklaces, rings and bracelets, many produced with manually set crystals.
Design as memory
There is an interesting idea behind the collection.
Travel is not being treated simply as a destination or visual reference.
It becomes a personal archive.
For Marcelo Albertazzi, the brand’s creative director, Jet Setters was conceived around a woman who collects experiences and incorporates references from different places into her identity.
That idea gives Namibe its strongest layer.
The jewelry is not meant to become a souvenir of Namibia. It uses landscape, texture and movement as material for a new design language.
From Brasil to Milan
Now, that language is moving into an international context.
Hector Albertazzi is part of the Brazilian presence at Milano Fashion&Jewels, adding another chapter to the growing visibility of Brazilian jewelry, accessories and design abroad.
For BlackCard International, that is precisely what makes the story worth following.
Internationalization does not begin only when a Brazilian brand opens a store overseas or becomes globally famous.
It can begin much earlier, when a clear creative identity starts entering new markets, meeting buyers and becoming part of a wider design conversation.
Why Hector Albertazzi is a brand to know
Because it represents something we want to follow closely at BlackCard International: Brazilian brands building recognizable identities from their own creative process while becoming increasingly connected to the world.
With Namibe, the reference comes from Africa.
The design is developed in Brasil.
And the next stop is Milan.
That movement says a great deal about the kind of contemporary Brazilian creativity we want to bring to an international audience.
